Nothing quite prepares you for braving the falling temperatures of autumn like a comforting knit hat to keep your head nice and toasty. Simple in that it lacks unnecessary embellishments, the über-classic two-color brioche in the Rocky Harbor hat will keep you feeling comfortable on the most blustery of days.
48.5 cm/19” circumference, 28 cm/11” high, lightly blocked
Knit Picks Alpaca Cloud Fingering (100% Superfine Alpaca; 200 yards/50g): C1 Thomas 26917, C2 Bennet 26886, 2 skeins each
One set 2.75 mm/US 2 needles* (or size needed to obtain gauge)
*Either one set of DPNs, two 24” circular needles, or one 40” or longer circular needle, as you prefer for small circumference knitting in the round.
22 stitches & 32 rounds = 10 cm/4” in Two-Color Brioche stitch, lightly blocked

Rocky Harbor is a beanie cap knit in the round from the brim up. The two-color brioche only requires working one color at a time, without complicated stranding, and makes the hat completely reversible.
