Why Knitting is the Perfect Hobby

What I love most about knitting is that there is always a new challenge to overcome and something new to learn. This is why I can’t knit dishcloths, or hats for charity, or bulky accessories to sell at craft fairs. It’s why I rarely knit the same thing more than once (except Briggs & Little Heavy Socks, but that’s another story for another day), and why I knit a fingering weight, beaded dress.

Knitting is stimulating, social, portable, and it can be as easy or as challenging as I want it to be. At the end of the day (/project), I’ve got something to show for all my hard work. Mistakes, while frustrating, are (*don’t hurt me*) more or less easily fixed (*ducks*). Well, it’s true! It’s only yarn, after all.

Knitting is the perfect hobby!
